Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport
UISEE's fleet of Autonomous Electric Tractors helped Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport build a full-process unmanned cargo transport system between cargo terminals and the apron, transporting over 280,000 cargo pallets.
Background
Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport is one of China's three major aviation hubs, with 2023 passenger throughput reaching 63.17 million — ranked first nationwide for four consecutive years. UISEE pioneered the aviation industry's first autonomous driving technology application at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport in 2017 and has continued to deepen cooperation since. A cumulative total of 18 autonomous electric tractors have been deployed, covering international cargo station inbound/outbound routes and domestic cargo station outbound routes for full unmanned transport.
Challenges
Continuously rapid growth in cargo volume, with traditional manual transport having low efficiency and high costs.
Human operational errors constrain improvements in logistics safety.
Solution
Deployed: 18 Autonomous Electric Tractor
End-to-End Autonomous Operations: Routes involve over 10 loading/unloading points, requiring unmanned interaction with various equipment including gates and secure doors.
Impact
Leading Scale: As of end 2024, 13 units in routine operations, cumulatively transporting over 200,000 domestic cargo pallets and over 80,000 international cargo pallets.
Significant Efficiency Gains: Digital dispatching integration, full-chain alignment of vehicle, cargo, and dispatching information, improving production and support efficiency.
Safety Assurance: Full-process autonomous driving, reducing human-error-related operational risks and reducing operational risks.
Industry Benchmark: Created a proven model for autonomous cargo transportation for the aviation industry, driving the detailed standardization of unmanned equipment.
Demonstration Effect: Led Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport's overall business digital transformation, setting an Asia-Pacific aviation logistics intelligent benchmark.
