UISEE's RoboTaxi autonomous driving fleet helped Dongfeng Motor deploy a commercial pilot of robotaxi services open to the public on the roads of Wuhan, building a replicable demonstration model.
Background
UISEE and Dongfeng Motor jointly launched the Dongfeng Autonomous Driving Pilot Project, based on the U-Drive intelligent driving platform, deploying a RoboTaxi autonomous driving taxi fleet open to Wuhan citizens for public road test rides, promoting the commercialization and large-scale deployment of autonomous driving technologies in passenger vehicles.
Challenges
Urban mobility required more intelligent transportation solutions.
Lack of replicable RoboTaxi commercial demonstration models.
Solution
Deployed: Dongfeng vehicles equipped with UISEE's RoboTaxi autonomous driving system (42 units in the first batch).
Core Technology: UISEE U-DriveĀ® autonomous driving system developed and installed on vehicles; the rooftop autonomous driving kit includes LiDAR, millimeter-wave radar, HD camera, and high-precision positioning system.
Impact
Upgraded Travel Experience: RoboTaxi accurately recognizes traffic lights, actively avoids pedestrians and obstacles, and operates smoothly in congested sections, providing passengers with a safe and comfortable new autonomous driving travel experience.
Industry Benchmark Leadership: Expanding from Wuhan Economic Development Zone to the main urban area, building an intelligent connected vehicle ecosystem, driving related industries' large-scaled development, and serving as a benchmark for autonomous driving commercialization and ecosystem development.
